Hours since he left, hours
Since I called mom,
Hours on top of hours.
The mall closed,
Hours ago, the
Doors sighing shut, a
Click and a snap
As they closed me
Out.
Hours Since it
Started snowing,
Drifting, flying,
Not melting, just staying.
I shiver and do
A little quick-step,
Rubbing palms on knees, and feet on ground
I look this way, then that, still
Dancing.
It's been hours of
the same,
Tears freeze, and my nose
Runs. I love around again.
Finally!
After hours of waiting
Mom pulls up.
"It's been hours!"
I sniff,
